Inspired and written on Boxing Day, which is a LONG time ago now. Need I say anything more?
Sorry it's later than usual, been a very busy man lately :P

"Hmm."

Shikamaru sighed. "Just pick one, woman."

Temari turned around to look at him. "You know, you should just shut up and stop complaining."

Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "Easier said than done."

"Well at least try."

Since Tenten and Ino had shown her this part of Konoha, every time the Suna ambassador came to the village, she would find time to shop here.

And Shikamaru was the man stuck with the job of following her around.

He found a seat nearby and sat down. Making him carry the bags didn't help either.

It was then when a friendly face appeared.

"Shikamaru, What are you doing here?"

"Kiba. I could ask the same for you."

"Mum's birthday's coming up. You?"

"Escort duty for Temari."

Kiba laughed. "Ouch. Have fun. This place will be the death of you."

With that, he left.

"You done yet Temari?" Shikamaru asked sleepily.

She emerged from the store with another bag.

"Here."

He groaned.

"Is this it?"

She looked at him. "Of course not."

He groaned again.

She smiled at him. "Come on."

He raised an eyebrow. "You like seeing me suffer like this, don't you?"

She didn't answer. Instead, she turned into another store.

"I'll take that as a yes then."

He walked in after her, seeing her looking through different clothes.

"Hurry up."

"I'm still choosing between the clothes."

"Just make up your mind already."

"Don't rush me, lazy ass."

"Rush you? It's been over 2 hours already!"

"You know something Shikamaru Nara? You need to get used to this. One day you'll be doing this with the girl you love, and you'll have no say in it at all. This is like getting ready for that."

"How can I get ready for it when I'm already doing so?"

She stopped looking through the clothes and turned around.

She gave him a kiss before returning to the clothes.

"Guess you can't."

She looked at him once again and smiled.

"Too bad for you, hey?"
