Eren was a man who had a normal life, married happily to a beautiful woman, and had many types of pets. They had birds, fishes, dogs, rabbits, and even a monkey. The last animal they had was a beautiful, entirely black cat.
Mars, was the cat's name, Eren's favorite animal. Mars always provided him with attention and love. Although Eren's wife, named Mila, believed in superstition, where witches were owners of cats, she didn't like the cat as much as Eren did. Their friendship lasted for many years until Eren grew day by day, more emotional, more irritable, and more irrespective of others. He suffered to use excessive language to his wife and mistreating Mars. It became too much for Eren to handle that he resulted to drinking alcohol. One night while Eren was returning home intoxicated, he felt possessed like his body was moving on its own. He seized Mars and in Mars' fright at his violence he inflicted a wound on his hand using his teeth. Eren didn't know what he was doing. He felt the fury of a demon taking his soul and taking flight of his body and during the savagery he took his knife from his pocket and took the poor feline by the scruff of his neck and cutting one of the cat's eyes from its socket. When the sun has risen Eren woke up and saw the destruction he's done, feeling guilty he said, "What have I done…" Days passed, the cat was slowly recovering Mila said, "The cat has suffered enough, and we should put it to sleep." Eren looked away guilty. Sighing he said, "Yes, we should". The next morning he tied a noose around the cat's neck and hung it to the branch of a tree. He hung it with tears streaming from his eyes he felt that he was committing a sin, a deadly sin that cannot be forgiven by God.
Years has passed, Eren personality has suffered, Mila noticing this she got a new cat. When Eren saw the cat his eyes widen the cat had black fur like Mars but had a white patch fur on its chest but what caught his attention was that that cat had a missing eye. The feline stood proudly around the house while Eren felt sick to his stomach as he remembered how he killed a certain cat years ago. After work when Eren was walking home he had a dreadful feeling in his body, the sudden shivers, instead of walking he ran the whole way home only to see the cat standing on top of the corpse of his own wife.
