La Prova
Rough knuckles slide down smooth porcelain. A calloused thumb brushes the flushed apple of a cheek. Steel orbs rise to meet gold, reddened by salty tears collecting, ready to cascade.
"I don't understand."
Words breathlessly pass through chapped lips.
"Just go Hermione."
A straight, stiff, frame turns from a saddened gaze.
"Draco...please don't do this."
Delicate hands reach out with hope.
"Go."
Emotion freely breaks its dam, drop by drop to hard stone. Swift footfalls travel down arched corridors. Echoing tears reverberate back to now slouching shoulders and uneven breathing.
"If you love something, set it free; if it comes back it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was."
