Broken mirrors

To those reading this, be it rwby fans or Overwatch fans, this is one of many stories sequels I have planned from my story Salvation of Remnant, to help make sense I suggest reading what I have of that right now before reading this one.

Note this is going to follow the adventures of my RWBY OC, Loki Fenris, and Neo's Son Leonardo Fenris, through the multiverse.

Second note, Leo's siblings will also be making some appearances… so enjoy.

Letting out a growl as he entered through a set of mechanical doors, Gabriel Reyes aka Reaper, looked to the room before him with agitation, he looked to the left to see Widowmaker and Sombra ready for debriefing.

Stepping toward his chair on the table, Gabriel looked to the left to see Sanjay Korpal standing at attention as Akande entered, followed by Moira, Maximilien currently busy with his day job… or his own business.

"Sanjay, what is so important that you called us here?' hearing the grating voice of Reaper as he leaned on his left elbow, the head of Vishkar turned to the wall as a hologram appeared.

"Nearly two hundred hours ago, one of our bases had been hit with an unknown energy reading that caused a power failure, after the base had reengaged their emergency power, all traces of the energy was focused on a area on the outskirts of the base"

"And what is so important about this energy?" turning to Sombra at her interruption, those present turned back to Sanjay who brought up a graph… showing all to be reaching high above many known energy signatures recorded by Talon.

"This energy could hold the key to near endless energy, fuelling Talons most needed projects, except… when the three teams sent to investigate arrived, they were impeded by an unknown factor" hitting a button to move the screen, those paying attention were showed a video footage of the Talon team moving through a heavily planted plain of Africa, watching the teams move forward they noticed one dragged into the heavy bushes, before seconds climbing out unscathed, even looking back with a middle finger aimed at it before the supposed Talon operative followed the teams.

"What are we looking at?"

Turning to Moira as she spoke her question, Sanjay turned to the screen with a frown.

"We don't know as of yet, which is why I wish for Reaper and his team to go and investigate this unknown factor" turning to Akande for his word, he nodded to Reaper.

"Head their and end this possible threat, and find out what they know" nodding as he stood up, Reaper gestured for Widowmaker and Sombra to follow out into the hallway.

"Anyone feel like we're gonna walk into an empty base?"

"Don't make me leave you behind"

Hours later

Upon stepping out of the shuttle bringing them to the base, Reaper had to growl at the sight of the base sporting fires and fallen walls lighting the night time of Africa.

Clenching his hands while walking to the base with Widowmaker and Sombra following, the Latina frowning at the unnerving sight of the base with the night sky not helping.

"Keep Radio chatter to a minimum, if whoever inside is still here be sure to call a radio check, Widow, find a vantage point and keep us covered whenever you can, Sombra, find an access point to surveillance… I'll go look for anything salvageable" nodding to their orders, Sombra flickered out of sight while Widowmaker moved to a viewpoint, the three failing to see a set of eyes watching, one a golden orb, the other a pure white, blinking once to show the colours rotating in place between the eyes before returning to their rightful places.

Moving away from the window where they stood, the intruder's being rippled like broken glass before standing in a bloodied Talon operatives outfit.

Stepping through a fallen wall, Reaper actually paused at the sight of fallen operatives in the hallway, even doctors tied up an unconscious, after checking for a pulse of course, walking through the hallway with his shotguns held ready, Gabriel began to worry as the bodies of Talon soldiers began to look more gruesome, arms ripped off, heads decapitated… spinal cords torn and stabbed back in. the entire sight made Gabriel look sane worriedly enough, walking by an opening caused by what could barely be recognisable as legs, Gabriel peeked out to see Widowmaker moving to position, her sniper aimed and ready, Reaper held a hand to his earpiece.

"Sombra, radio check, you got anything?"

Waiting for a good minute for a response, Reaper looked through the hole in the wall before he got one.

"I have news, but I wouldn't call it good, whoever was here got everything, and literally tore the whole network apart enough to look like they let a horde of animals go crazy on it" hearing Sombra state the annoying news of their current predicament.

"Widow, keep an eye out for movement, be it me or Sombra call in on the radio, if they don't react take a shot, I'm going to look through the base for any survivors" hearing this, Widowmaker narrowed her eyes at hearing something… roar?

Walking through the hall with her camouflage active, she stopped at hearing a roar within the hallways.

"Guys, when the Mierda did this become a horror movie?" looking over her shoulder she stopped at feeling an odd sensation wash over her like a blanket. Stopping to look around she jumped as the corpses in the hallway began to scream in agony and pain, making her bite her tongue to keep herself hidden, she stopped at hearing a hum down the hallway, from where she came from.

Turning slowly to the source, she blinked at seeing a soldier approaching, making her wince as his entire body was covered in blood, along with the right side of his ribcage exposed, backing to the wall with a look of fear she watched him wak down the hall until he was out of side, the scary fact he was humming slowly.

Pressing a button on her earpiece, Sombra spoke with a shaky voice.

"Gabriel, please tell me your still in here?"

Stopping at hearing the fearful voice of Sombra actually made the two worried for her, looking around in worry while moving quicker, Gabriel spoke.

"Sombra, where are you?"

"I just exited the mainframe room and… and, the corpses, santo Dios, the corpses just started screaming, and some guy walked by me humming like some fucking creep-"

"Whose a creep?" freezing up at the monotone voice behind her, Sombra slowly turned to the person behind her, staring at the mix of gold and white that stared back she could see the playful smirk the guy had before he looked up and vanished in a ripple of shattering glass, seconds before rapid footsteps could be heard.

"Sombra… Sombra…" hearing boots skidding around the corner.

"Sombra!" hearing her name called from Reaper, she jumped at his hand grabbing her shoulder, showing her the tears running down from her eyes, seeing her in this condition, Gabriel narrowed his eyes while holding her close, looking down the hall where Sombra was facing, the two jumped at hearing the first shot from Widowmaker's rifle, getting a guttural roar echoing through the base.

"Get outside, now!" moving Sombra ahead of him as they began to run, Reaper and the Latina nearly staggered as the base shook with another roar echoing, hearing something crash behind him, Gabriel turned to the sight of something big behind them, showing a maw of teeth in the air, he turned and fired his shotguns rapid as Sombra ran, him easily keeping up to her pace as the literally invisible thing gave chase, opening it's maw once more open as they jumped out of a opening in the wall, just as Widow fired.

Nailing the creature in the head they heard it roar in agony before vanishing.

Making Gabriel and Sombra look at the opening for a full minute before moving to where widowmaker was stationed, the three failing to see a set of eyes watching calmly, before turning to leave and leaped upward.
