A Really Mean Joke

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Matsumoto woke up to the sound of her cell phone ringing. Slowly she reached over and answered it rather angrily. "What now?"

"Ran-chan, help, I'm dying," She heard a weak, but familiar voice cry out.

"Gin! What happened, never mind, where are you?"

"I was sent to fight a hollow in Karakura town, but it was to strong. Please, help me."

"I'm on my way," she replied rushing out the door quickly. Using Shunpo she raced to the gate to the real world and opened it quickly before anyone found out where she was going.

"Hang on, Gin," She said as raced through the gate. When she reached the real world she ran around toward the fading presence of her friend from so many years ago.

She found him lying on his side blood dripped from his side. "Gin!" she yelled as she rushed by him to roll him on his back. A large deep cut from his left shoulder to his right side of his waist. It had stopped bleeding but it was severe.

"Gin, Gin, please, please don't die. I don't know if you know this, but since I met you, you have meant everything to me." Tears ran down her cheeks as she hugged Gin's body close to herself. "Please Gin, please don't die. I love you! I love you, Gin!"

Gin smiled and sat up wiped the wound away as though it was just ink. "Fooled ya'," he said still smiling.

"Gin! That was really mean, I was worried about you!" She hit him on the head, though he remained smiling.

"Now I know what really think of me, and to be honest I'm relieved, I thought ya' didn't like me very much, but now I know otherwise."

"That was still evil!" she repeated and hit him again. "But, I'm glad you're ok." She hugged him tight to her. Then gave him a peck on the lips.
