author's notes: If you've never read Jeff
Hardy's poem 'The Fans', I'm not sure if you're going to get this
all that much since it's a response to his poem from this fan's
POV. When I say we, I mean we as in my close friends that are
Jeff fans. You may or may not feel like this. I'm not speaking
for all just what I know. You can always write your own response
to his poem.

The Showstopper
How could we ever hate you
You wonder what goes through our minds?
You've dedicated your life to us
That's what inspired my sign.
As we hold our breath watching you
Soar through the air
There's no doubt in mind
That we really do care.
You wonder if we felt you
Like goosebumps through the skin?
Metally, we sit and ponder
How did you always get up again
As we watch you come crashing
From 20 feet above
How could we ever feel for you
anything but love?
You wonder if we booed you
Like a loser no one knew?
How could we ever do anything
But respect what you do?
You're our partystarter
You're our showstopper
And you wonder why
You're so popular.
You wonder if we cried for you
When you were unable to duck?
Yes, we bit our lips in utter anguish
As we watched how you pushed your luck.
And later when we found out
That you were alright
We pumped our fist high in the air
With nothing but delight.
You wonder if we will be your fans
Until you have to fold?
You'll always be in out hearts
You'll never lose that hold.
We'll keep your memory forever
With us you'll never die.
We'll always remember you
