Body

The Eternal Struggle,

A Sonnet

Written By: The Blue Sorceress

To fight, to bleed, to lose to die alone.

To curse the sun, the stars and destiny.

Forever banned from ever going home,

And then denied my immortality.

To try and fail, to live and then to die,

And to have worked so hard and long for naught.

Then soaring t'ward the heavens, t'ward the sky,

Reaching t'ward the power I have sought

I find myself held away from my goal,

And I fall down toward the stony Earth.

Feeling my failure in my deepest soul,

I see my rival smile in his mirth.

I feel his grin begin to turn me black,

and swear by blood to gain what I now lack.
