Hey! Apparently listening to Congratulations from Hamilton gives me inspiration to write RWBY fanfics. I know this is really short, but it's just the Prolouge. I am going to try to make her rest of the chapters much longer. Please read and tell me what you think in reviews!
A small black creature alighted on the plaque marking the resting place of one silver-eyed warrior. A sleek black feather had been shed from the animal's wing, coming to rest on the tomb's inscription, displacing a thin layer of dust and sediment that had formed. The bird itself rested on the symbol engraved in the plaque. A rose, it's petals ruffled on the edges giving the symbol more personality, to put it more eloquently. Several outer circles of intertwined petals, increasing in size to farther out they got, surrounded a center of condensed, smaller petals. The crow's red eyes seemed to soften as it gazed upon that on which it stood. Hopping a few steps back off the gravestone, the crow transformed into a man, the only evidence left that a crow had once been there being a few loose black feathers. The man had dark hair, with a few lighter gray streaks and skin that appeared almost snow white in the dim, evening light. He wore a tattered, blood red cape and his clothes were steel gray and black. A sideways cross necklace hung from his neck while a large metal broadsword rested on his back. He had deep red eyes that shone with grief.
"Hey, Shortstack. Guess its been awhile since I was last here. I messed up bad. Ruby and Team JNPR -what's left-are planning to go to Mistral. My mistakes caused Beacon to fall. I'm not gonna kill Haven too. I swear I won't endanger her again Sum, if it kills me a million times over I swear I'll protect her." Tears were falling from Qrow's eyes now. "For you, I do it for you. I need to go now Ruby will leave soon. I love you Summer Rose. Thus kindly I scatter."
And with that, Qrow turned back into a crow and flew off.
Uknown to the man, a petite woman in a flowing white cloak hid in the forest. "I love you too, Qrow Branwen." She whispered.
