Chapter 1

PERCY

I was nervous.

I was hanging out with Annabeth, the Wise Girl. I was sitting on the sand with her. It felt like eternity, when Beckendorf finally came. He offered me a drink of water, when suddenly, I felt a weird feeling in my gut.

"PERCY! Are you okay?" Annabeth yelled in my ear when I froze.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Let's enjoy the weather and the view when we can." I lied.

After a while, when I was finally going to ask Beckendorf to ask Chiron what the next activity was, I heard a painful scream.

"Help! I'm drowning!" someone yelled.

"We better go. Someone needs help!" Beckendorf said.

Percy had finally been through The Prophecy. He had already taken a shower and had eaten so he looked as good as new. He had newly trimmed brown hair, and as always, his eyes matched the calm ocean.

"Percy, look! The Little River!" Annabeth said. "I think someone's drowning. Help her!"

So like always, I held up my dirty hands covered in sweat from running to control the water. Nothing happened.

"Seaweed brain, what are you doing? Help her! I think it's Piper." Annabeth yelled

I tried again and again, but no luck.

After a few more attempts, the camp rescuers finally rescued Piper.

"Oh my goodness. I didn't even know I was drowning. Wait, what? Scratch that. Let's just say I was so surprised I didn't know what was happening. Okay?" Piper said.

Everybody was silent, so Chiron said:

"Percy, Piper, Clarisse, Grover, Annabeth, and Beckendorf, come the the Big house."

The last thing I remember is me getting yelled at by lots of campers.
