AN: Okay so here is a quick one-shot in honor of Ban's birthday… well it's a belated birthday since I had to work late. Anyway so here's a cute little one-shot. Enjoy!
"Ne, Ban-chan?"
"Nan da?"
"You're birthday is today right?"
"…yeah, why?"
"I've got something for you Ban-chan!"
"You didn't have to get anything for me… it's really just another day to me."
"Ahh! It's not just another day! Today is the day the Ban-chan was born!"
"Whatever Gin…"
Ban takes his lighter to light up another cigarette but Ginji grabs it.
"Oi!"
Ginji uses the lighter to light a candle on a single cupcake.
"I know it's not much but… make a wish Ban-chan! It can be anything! More money, a mansion, sushi, anything!"
Ban stares at the candle, almost as if he were looking through it.
"Mou! Ban-chan! Make a wish! Make a-"
Ban quietly blows out the candle and a few moments of silence go by.
"Ne, Ban-chan?"
"Ah?"
"What did you wish for?"
"Aren't I not supposed to tell or something?"
"Etto… well no but-!"
Ban kisses Ginji softly. The blonde melts into the kiss that ends all too soon. Both are silent, Ginji leans into Ban, who wraps his arms around the younger retriever. They settle into a comfortable silence, the cupcake forgotten.
"Ban-chan?"
"Hm?"
"Did you wish to have sex or something?
"Ahou! Iie…"
"…"
"I wished for better days…"
"Better days?"
"Better days for you and me."
"Ban-chan?"
"Mm?"
"Aishiteru Ban-chan"
Ginji kisses Ban on the cheek then leans back against Ban again, falling asleep quickly. Then Ban whispers…
"Aishiteru… zutto Ginji… zutto."
