It wasn't a creature that came through the anomaly this time. Instead it had been a naked woman on horseback. Danny and Becker stared at the woman in stunned silence as commanded the horse to gallop away. Abby had her hand firmly clasped over Connor's eyes.
"I think that was Lady Godiva," Sarah announced breaking the silence.
"Right, let's go get her," Danny took charge.
"You're not going any where," Abby said as Connor shook off her hand, "three men chasing a naked woman on horseback? That'll have the public calling the police in seconds. I think Sarah and I have to take this one." She glanced at Sarah who nodded.
"Fine." Danny acquiesced tossing the car keys to Abby, "there's a blanket in the boot - I'll let Lester know what's going on so he can stop the police from getting involved."
"So we're just going to do nothing while we wait for them to bring her back?" Connor asked trying and failing to keep the disappointment out of his voice.
"No you can do some research on her while you wait," Sarah replied, biting the inside of her cheek to stop herself from laughing.
"Great." He deadpanned.
"I'll go with you just in case you need backup," Becker offered.
"No chance!" Abby scoffed.
"It's pretty clear she wasn't carrying a single weapon," Sarah said, "worst case scenario Abby can always tranquilise her ," Sarah smirked at Becker, "nice try though!"
"Don't worry guys," Abby added, "we've got it covered." She winced, "metaphorically speaking. Come on Sarah."
"If you need help," Connor persisted.
"We'll call."
As they walked to the car Sarah couldn't help glancing over her shoulder – she had never seen three guys look so disappointed.
