Extenuating Circumstances
"Waahh, Konatsu-kun!"
The blonde looked up at his name being called. "Eh? EH?" The younger screeched, catching sight of his lieutenant. It was clear he had done something to irritate the Chief of Staff once again, considering he was practically leaking blood. Ayanami was someone to be feared for sure. Sadly, Hyuuga didn't fear him enough. "What the hell'd you do this time?"
"Don't ask...", His superior blanched before shuddering slightly. "If Aya-tan asks, I'm not here!"
"Right..." Konatsu muttered, pretty sure Ayanami would know exactly where he was anyway, but was willing to humor him.
Konatsu got up and led him to a chair before rummaging around in his desk for some bandages. It never hurt to be prepared when Hyuuga was known for getting himself into trouble.
"You know what's sad?" Konatsu began as he covered the lieutenant in bandages.
"And what's that?" Hyuuga said, now smiling, pleased that his begleiter was taking care of him.
"Even though we're part of the military, not to mention one of most dangerous factions, and yet, your biggest danger is yourself...with help from Ayanami-sama."
Hyuuga thought about it for a moment, popping a lollipop into his mouth. "Yep! Pretty much! But...I dont have to worry when you're here to fix me up!" He then ruffled the blonde's hair affectionately.
Konatsu's face reddened a little before turning away.
"Let's just hope you die first! Otherwise you're doomed anyway..."
