Disclaimer: I only own Alannah.
This is a one shot along the lines of my story the Winchester Wolf: Dean takes Alannah, his imprintee for those who haven't read the Winchester Wolf , to the space needle for the first time. Alannah discovers Dean's fear of flying (in this case, elevators).
You do not have to have read the story to understand this.
I haven't updated an of my stories for a while so I decided to make my first one-shot based on this!
Dean looked down towards his feet through the glass of the elevator. Shuddering, he lifted his eyes to see Alannah, who was looking out of the glass across Seattle.
Dean had been wanting to take Alannah somewhere outside of Forks– it was an extremely boring little town after a while, and he discovered she had never been to Seattle. Thus came the fascination with the Space Needle and as much as he didn't want to, Dean had succumbed to the Sam-like puppy dog eyes and the "Pretty please Dean! I'll love you forever!" spiel.
Sam was right. She had Dean wrapped around her little finger.
"Dean, look! You can see everything!" the fifteen-year-old exclaimed with excitement that made her appear much younger.
Dean laughed nervous, attempting to hide his fear. "Yeah, it's uh, pretty awesome," he said with a cough.
Alannah turned to face Dean and noticed him looking extra pale and nervous. She giggled and turned back to look out the window, not wanting to embarrass him.
The elevator stopped suddenly, causing Dean to reach out and grab Alannah as if she was going to fall or something.
When people surrounding them began to exit the elevator, Dean looked down at Alannah and saw her gazing up at him with a look of amusement.
Dean coughed again and released his hold, allowing her to guide him out of the elevator.
Then Alannah wanted to go and look over the railing to get a "better view" of everything, and of course, due to his weakness under the puppy eyes and brace-faced smile, he said "sure".
Outside the wind was blowing and a few small droplets of rain slid down Dean's leather jacket. He looked over the railing and instantly regretted it when a wave of nausea hit him like a tsunami.
After Dean recovered his eyes landed on Alannah, who was leaning over the railing with half her body over the edge.
Dean yelped and reached out, wrapping his arms around her middle pulling her against him.
"Dean!" she yelled.
He looked down at her and asked, "Are you crazy?! You could have fell!"
Alannah's face broke out into a smile and she giggled.
Breaking out of Dean's protective hold, Alannah said, "Can we go to the very top?"
Dean's face visibly paled as he choked out a whispery "sure," yet again.
They walked back towards the elevator once again when Alannah heard familiar notes being hummed to the right of her.
"Dean?" she asked.
"Hmm?" he replied pausing his humming only for a moment.
"Are you singing Metallica?"
Review??:) This is my apology for not updating lately. I already have put off my school work enough (STILL haven't read Tooth and Nail!!... I probably won't xD)
