Millions of light years away from the planet Earth lies the mysterious Zoidstar. A desert planet where life once thrived. Now, all life on the planet had been destroyed... save one individual. Her purple hair flows with the wind, as every bit of her body is covered by a metallic suit of armor. Her brownish eyes survey the desert she once called home.
She is known as "The Namer." Her remaining task is to bestow names upon a warlike species her race created, known only as the Zoids.
"I cannot control these creatures," The Namer spoke, in an emotionless, solemn voice, "I can only name them."
Turning, she saw a Zoid. This one resembled a huge, mechanical spider, with an orange cockpit window.
"Small and fleet of foot, yet cunning and deadly in battle," The Namer acknowledged, "Thus, I name you... Spiderzoid."
Another Zoid appeared nearby. This one looked like a metallic approximation of the theropod dinosaurs as they were seen before the 'teeter-totter' concept came into play. Two guns mounted on the forearms shifted upward, and shot the poor Spiderzoid down.
"Forged in fire at the center of the world, born in a battle of elements!" The Namer noted, "Strong, Fearless, a Gladiator of your kind... Trooperzoid."
She then heard a noise, and paused. Turning, she saw the source, a giant machine that resembled the sauropod dinosaurs.
"Worlds tremble at his approach," The Namer stared, "Stars dim in the dust of his passing. The Giant Zrk."
She noticed it passing her vantage point, then, it turned its cockpit-head to her.
"Stand aside, Namer!" Zrk snarled in his vocalizer, "I am the master of this world! Let me pass!"
"You are free to pass," The Namer monotoned. The Zrk nodded, then continued on his way.
"So, the Zoids have discovered a way to exist without Zoidar Power," The Namer noted, "They are free of their masters and battle for supremacy of the planet. But soon, they will face an enemy as strong and pitiless as they are. The Red Mutants will arrive on this planet soon... and they will not be happy."

This fanfiction is a crossover of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and the Zoids comics released in the UK. Some of you may be familiar with the comics, others may not.
