Disclaimer: As much as I would like to, I do not own Doctor Who.

Regeneration: Spiritual or moral revival or rebirth. That's what the dictionary says my death is, but I think it is way more like dying. Imagine moving from place to place. Not just house to house, but to random cultures and countries. The person moving to another place is still the same person, but that person still has to adapt to the surroundings. This made up character never knows where they will go, only that it is different than where they currently are. This invented individual's experiences resemble the process that I have to go through whenever I die. Regeneration. I never get used to this kind of death.

In the actual process, it feels as if my soul is leaving me. I am still my old self for only a short time before I am aware of a new feeling. In this new state, I am simply a Time Lord with no personality. I know that my body has left me and for a split second I am just a blank slate. My mind abandons me and all thoughts escape. I have become a new person with an insanely new mindset.

There is practically nothing left of the last Doctor. The first step is to accept the fact that I am in a completely different body. I am left with no time to think through what has happened, so I quickly look around. I realize I am in my TARDIS and I really want to take a look at myself. "No mirrors." I think as I look around. "Let's start with the basics then." I again think to myself.

"Legs. Still got legs. Good." I am panting and sweaty as I grab one of my legs just to make sure it is actually mine. You never know for sure until you check. I kiss the one that I raised and go on to check the rest. "Arms. Hands. Ooh! Fingers. Lots of fingers." I wiggle each of them and I am distracted for a moment. Now for the rest of the check list. "Ears. Yes! Eyes, too! Nose." I feel it and I am almost shocked at how big it is. Oh well. "I've had worse. Chin. Blimey!" It's huge too! "Hair. I'm a girl!" My voice squeaks a little and I am more assured that I am, in fact, a girl. "No! Noo!" Maybe I got it wrong. "I'm not a girl!" One more thing to check. I almost get giddy while I am waiting. Hoping. I pull my hair forward only to be disappointed. "And still not ginger!"

But there is one more thing. I can't quite put my finger on it. "Something else. Something… important. I'm- I'm-I'm-" An unseen force hits the TARDIS and I almost fall to the ground, but I manage to grab the console just in time. I let out a weird laugh as I remember what it is. "Crashing!"

The TARDIS is hurtling towards Earth very fast and I do not have time to process anything that happened. I look at the console again and start to think of what I should do. "Haha! Woohoo! Ha!" I have only a few moments until I crash on Earth, but I manage to spit out the one word that I can think of, "GERONIMOOO!"
