The gods ran across Olympus ready to fight and defend their land. They ran through fires and wreckage as screams filled the air. All gods were armed with Zeus leading them toward the throne room. Swords, bows, and all they had were ready to take down Kronos. Everything was a blur until they reached twenty steps away from the throne room. All gods stopped and turned their eyes from the broken body of a sixteen year old girl to Apollo.
"Oh dear." Aphrodite whispered. Apollo started to shake his head in disbelief, sweat pouring down his forehead.
The body belonged to Tami Marissa Stevenson, eldest daughter of Apollo and cabin leader. She , was lying across the floor, eyes closed, her hair spread, body limp, a green vine wrapped around her leg, and a steaming arrow shot right below her chest. A satyr kneeling above her playing a song of hope.
"Go ahead." Apollo whispered and hesitantly the gods ran off leaving him, Tami, and the Satyr. "Come here" He said to the satyr. He stopped playing and bit his lip.
"What happened to my daughter?" he asked pulling her into his arms. He stifled a sob and his seventeen year old body started to shake as he stroked his daughter cheek.
The Satyr stiffened, "I'm very sorry Lord Apollo, it was Luke, I mean Kronos. He …killed her. I tried to do everything I could, but she wouldn't wake up."
Apollo started to sob and the satyr scrambled away. "Please, Tami darling, wake up. Do it for daddy," he begged, "I'm sorry, I love you so much. Please, don't leave you're all I have left."
From the time she was born to now he always knew she was special. She had his artistic talent and can shoot an arrow almost as perfectly as himself. All her life she was a shining light, Apollo's jewel, and she always had a thing to say.
"She earned her place in Elysium." A voice said. Apollo turned to see Hades his eyes drooping, "We're trying to get the door open."
"Bring her back Hades, please." Apollo begged but the god of the underworld shook his head.
"I'm sorry, but I would if I can. I would have had Maria back a long time ago." Hades whispered and placed a hand on Apollo's shoulder.
"Come, you need to fight for her." Apollo nodded and Hades walked away fire swimming behind him.
"You were my favorite." Apollo whispered said a final blessing, kissed her forehead, and left to the throne room to avenge his little fighter.
