Mara found herself crying. Nothing seemed to go right anymore. As if Fate was against her pairing with Luke Skywalker. Now, they're bond was on the verge of being shattered. He was dying. To make thing worse, he seemed to distance himself from everyone. Not in a 'I can do this alone' way, but in an 'I'm scared and afraid to show it' way. And so, she cried, for her love and for herself.
"Mara, are you here?" his voice rang through the tiny apartment.
She wiped her eyes dry, "In here Luke!" she called.
He came into the bedroom and found her there. Luke sat down beside her.
"You've been crying again haven't you?" he asked.
She nodded and he wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled into his hug and cried more. She cried until there were no more tears.

Somehow it didn't seem right. I didn't seem fair. It wasn't fair. Luke had so much left to do. He had so many more battles fight. He was losing this one. They're time together was sad, and mournful. Mara seemed to cry constantly. He did his best to lift her spirits, let her know that he loved her unconditionally. But time seemed to slow for the once happy couple. No matter how much he did, or what she told him, neither could find the love that was once there. Something of what they had was missing. Luke felt horrible, he wasn't keeping his promise.

Things had gone from bad to worse in a short time. Now was the end. Luke was on his death bed. Mara was going to lose his one and only love. He looked pale and he was deathly thin. She knew she was crying again. She held his hand, knowing it would be for the last time.
"Mara.." he strained to say goodbyes. "Mara..."
"Yes my love, what is it?" she whispered to him.
"Mara...I...I..love...you," he sighed and that was the end.
Luke Skywalker, was dead.
