I just got through watching "Looney Toons" when I got this idea for my lit class. It was the episode about Casey at Bat, well I got the poem and rewrote it. It takes place during Goku's fight in the Cell Games. I know I screwed some things up, but I didn't mess it up too bad. Well tell me whatcha think!
I don't own DBZ. I also don't own the poem "Casey at Bat," Earnest Lawrence Thayer does.
Goku's Fight

The outlook wasn't too bright for the Earth's special forces that day;
The score stood Cell against the fighters, with Gohan at play.
An then Trunks was down, and Sixteen the same,
A sickly silence came upon Gohan and the rest in the game.
Vegeta charged at Cell in deep despair. The rest
Clung to the little hope that this was almost the best;
The thought of onyl Goku would come to his senses and show Cell his might-
The'd put money on him, if Goku would only fight.
But Vegeta preceded Goku, as did his son Gohan;
And everyonw else was still in shock, hoping that the two had the power to go on;
So upon that fight. thr special forces watched and sat,
The glanced at Goku, but there seemed litle chance of beating the monster down flat.
But Gohan let out a scream, a wonder to them all,
His eyes became darker and his hair stood blonde and tall;
And when the dust had cleared the warriors saw what had occured,
There stood Gohan in super sayain form two not third.
The from all over the world there was total silence'
It was in the valleys down to the cities, the people were all wondering about the upcomming violence;
All eys went from the boy to the father,
which one was the hero that they sought after?
There was a determined look in Gokuis eyes as he took his place;
He told Gohan he was proud of him with a smile on his face.
His eyes glanced at Mr. Statan in the corner trying to cower,
He moved his feet and raised his power.
Millions of eyes were on him as he rubbed his hands with a smirk;
The ladies screamed when he ripped off his shirt,
Cell yawned, wishing Goku would pick up the pace,
Anger gleamed in Goku's eye, a sneer on his face.
Ki power and blows traveled through the air,
All of the warriors could do nothing but stare.
Then without warning Cell charged at Goku with a feiece punch-
Goku was knocked back, as he pushed rocks into a bunch.
From the sidelines, Vegeta watched and began to roar,
His bellow was loud and deafning like the waves on a seashore,
"Kill him! Kakarott kill him!" he shouted as he began to stand'
"He killed my son! Kill him now!" he shouted agian looking down at his clentched hand.
With a sweet smile, Goku's herolike qualities shone;
He ignored Vegeta'a roars not caring how long he went on;
He was panting as he flew;
Cell liiked at him strangely, "So you can only go super sayian one not two, Goku."
"Kakarott!" Vegeta still bellowed, he called again. "Kill him now Kakarott!"
Vegeta was silenced as Goku stopped panting and began to fought.
He was sweating and his muscles began to strain,
Vegeta growled as he saw what Goku was up to. "He can't be stupid enough to leave again!"
The sneer was gone from Goku's lip, his teeth clentched hin hate'
"I'll miss you Chi Chi," he whispered as he thougth of his mate.
With one last cry Goku powered up, preparing to go,
A bright flash was seen and Goku and Cell disappeared in the glow.
Oh, somewhere on Earth the sun is shining bright;
Kids are playing and young hearts are light;
And somewhere men laughed and babies cried,
But there is no joy with the Earth's special forces- mighty Goku has just died.
