Cress woke up to see the shadow of a person leaning against the door frame, Thorne. "Thorne?" she said. Cress felt a warm blush spreading across her face at the thought of him watching her sleep, had she drooled? Her hand instantly went up to her mouth to check. Luckily there was nothing there, thank the stars. He hesitantly stepped into the room. "I had a nightmare again, and I just wanted to see you," he stuttered trying to keep his cool. At first he hadn't told Cress when he had nightmares, but she noticed that something was off and eventually he had told her. She pushed herself up into a sitting position. Thorne carefully sat down on the bed, right next to Cress. He put his arm around her and she leaned her body against his chest. "It's okay, I'm here. I'm not hurt, I'm alright. You don't need to worry," she whispered for his reassurance. Thorne didn't say anything for a while, then he repositioned himself in the bed. He repositioned himself so that he was laying down in the bed and Cress was laying on top of him with her head on his chest. "Would you mind singing me a song?" Thorne asked her. She considered it for a while. Cress began singing one of the songs she had sung to herself so many times in her satellite. The words rolling out of her so easily, almost as if her voice had been waiting for her to sing them again. She sang song after song, all of them blending together in a never ending remix. Her words turned to humming. "You're a really talented singer Cress," Thorne murmured. "Thank you Captain," Cress whispered back. He bent his head down and kissed the top of her head.
