My prince and I fought side by side,

He my love, and I his guide.

O

Through sunlight fair and shadows wrought,

Among the sky so blue,

We met each other, face to face;

And now we've paid our dues.

O

The trial of the mountain fair,

The message of the deep;

Our dreams stay with us, hauntingly loud;

And assure we never sleep.

O

The story written upon the floor,

Our message never known,

We ask for naught but sympathy,

For our stories in this tome.

O

Our time was rife with dragons,

No one believed a mage;

And that, of course, spelled their end,

Within the Dragon Age.

O

My prince and I fought side by side,

He my love, and I his guide.

O

And so we came upon a town

Of bustling, busy streets.

There we made ourselves known;

We buried our hearts with the fleet.

O

From there all wants were cast aside,

All was judged too vain;

The only thing of beauty

Was the patter of the rain.

O

My prince and I fought side by side,

He my love, and I his guide.

O

And on like this we soldiered,

Through many days and nights;

We flew so low we brushed the ground,

Until we rose like kites.

O

Throughout this trial and suffering,

None were left without.

For the beauty of the sweet release,

Is what we all sought.

O

And now we stand before our Maker,

The tears roll down my face;

For we succeeded, but in victory, failed,

A rip upon the lace.

O

My prince and I fought side by side,

He my love, and I his guide.
