Waiting
A/N: This is just gonna be short this time.
I sit here waiting on my window sill, waiting for her to return but it's been at least ten hours now maybe more. What's taking her so long? Is all that is going over and over in my head. My heart aches more and more for her as every second ticks by. I hate being separated from Shizuru, her long shimmering brown hair, her kind inviting red eyes, those soft lips and her great personality.
I lean my head against the window pane, the glass calming me down from the coldness of it. I sigh still waiting for her, my eyes start to get heavy and I drift off into a quiet sleep.
I appeared in Shizuru's arms; I looked up and smiled at her. She laughed and kissed my forehead, "You ok Natsuki?" She said in her silvery voice. I nodded and continued to smile up at her. Then suddenly she disappeared and I am surrounded by white and I got up quick looking around for her. Two doors appeared in front of me I knew I had to pick one door to open but which. A voice in the back of my head said, "Choose with your heart, not your brain."
I listened to it and closed my eyes; it was silent all around me. I could hear my own heart beat and I could hear another. I opened my eyes and I opened the door on my right bursting through the door, seeing Shizuru smiling at me, "It's not over yet Natsuki. Keep going." She faded slowly and I reached my hand out for her but it was too late she was already gone, tears started to fill my eyes. "Keep going." Whispered in the back of my head and I wiped my tears, seeing a stair case, so I ran up it to find a hallway with three doors.
"Not again." I muttered and opened the middle door, seeing her again. She smirked this time and black came out the room and wrapped me up, bringing me into the room. I can't move. It's as if I were made of stone, but not. I wanted to cry out for help but what was the use I just couldn't. I gave in I couldn't do anything and I knew it. I couldn't see or move I was useless now and I couldn't even find or protect Shizuru.
"Natsuki."I heard Shizuru's voice calling. I wanted to call back but I couldn't. Then a flash of red went through my chest.
I jumped in the air and landed on the floor, "OWW!" Shizuru laughed so much at me and gave me a hand up. "Now what were you dreaming for you to have such a reaction Natsuki?" She asked through some laughs. I pouted at her, "It was a nightmare ok." She came over to me and hugged me tight, "Aww my wee Natsuki, I'm here for you now." That reminded me, I was waiting for her and I had a nightmare that'd I'd lose her. I looked up at her curiously, "Where were you anyway Shizuru?" She smiled at me, "Just getting someone a birthday present, as it's her birthday tomorrow. I think she may have forgotten though." I blushed and knew who she was talking about.
I kissed her on the cheek, "Thank you Shizuru." She smiled and the clock rang twelve and she handed me a small box wrapped up. "Happy 18th Birthday Natsuki." I blushed and slowly opened the present, revealing a silver necklace. I hugged her so tight and handed it to her, "Will you put it on me Shizuru?" I asked, knowing she wouldn't refuse. I lifted my hair as she put the chain round the back of my neck, hearing a click as she put it on me.
"I couldn't wish to be with anyone but you Shizuru." No matter how long you keep me waiting.
