I don't know where this one shot came from
To some people it was just another plane, but to FBI Special agent Seeley Booth it was more, it carried the love of his life, even if that person wouldn't admit she loved him. Booth stood watching the people deplane, he was waiting for someone special, it had been two months since he saw Brennan, she went to London to teach a six week course and help out the lab there for two weeks. Booth missed her, he wanted to go with, but Hacker wouldn't let him since Brennan broke it off Hacker had been a pain in the butt when it came to Booth's partnership. After what seemed like a million people got off the plane, he saw his Bones in her eco warrior look, she looked tired, and he'd expected that she never slept well away from home. Brennan eyes looked with Booth's and the both ran for each other, Booth reached Brennan first and lifted her off the ground and for the time in her life Brennan didn't care that Booth was making a public display of affection it felt good to be in his arms again in fact if she didn't have bags that needed to be carried she'd let Booth carry her out of the airport!
"I take it you missed me?"
"Yes, you didn't call as much as you should have."
"Booth I called every other day, I was very busy."
"You should have called everyday Bones, I missed you."
"I missed you too, you could have called too you know."
"I did, didn't you get my messages?"
"No."
"I knew the desk clerk had the hot-s for you. I could tell by his tone."
"Sorry I didn't get your messages, but can we go home now? I'm tired"
"Yeah." Booth shouldered her carry on and made the way to baggage claim where he got her other two bags; Brennan let Booth carry them she was too tired to care! When Booth pulled up to her apartment he noticed Brennan was asleep, he got out and carried her into the apartment, and laying her carefully on the bed he moved away Brennan grabbed his arm."Stay."
"Are you sure? We've never gone this far before, I've stayed over but on the couch-."
"Booth shut up and come here, I want to sleep and can't do it if you're standing there yakking."
Booth chuckled and changed into sweats and climbed in bed thinking it was only 7PM and he wouldn't sleep, Brennan curled into him. The next thing he knew it was 3AM and a sleeping Brennan was in his arms. A little later Brennan stirred."Hi."
"Hi, what time is it?"
"A little after 3."
"In the morning?"
"Yep."
"I'm starving, does Sid deliver?"
"No, I'll make you something."
"That's sweet Booth, but I have no food in here."
"Yes you do I got a few things to make some breakfast. Stay here I'll be back in a bit."
"Okay."
Twenty minutes later Booth returned with scrambled eggs toast and hot chocolate. After they'd eaten for a few minutes, "Booth asked how was London?"
"Good nobody died. The lecture was well attended, working the lab was different, but I enjoyed it."
"Any good cases?"
"No, I worked their version of limbo. Booth I learned something."
"What?"
"Being without isn't easy and I don't want to do it anymore, this "just partners" thing is a farce we are way more than that."
"I concur vehemently."
Brennan laughed, "What do you want to do now?"
"Talk?"
"Fine with me, I want to watch the sun come up."
"Fine with me."
They snuggled in and finished breakfast and went out on the balcony just as the sun was coming up Brennan turned to Booth, "Booth I learned something else, something more important."
"What?"
"I love you." Brennan wrapped her arms around Booth's neck and kissed him gently.
Booth broke the kiss, looking into Brennan's eyes, "I love you too Bones."
