Atem and Yami were standing by the tree, talking to their friends, when it happened. Lily stormed up to them and tapped Yami on the shoulder. He turned around.
"Oh hey Li-"
SMACK
Yami fell to the ground. Atem started to say something when Lily turned and-
SMACK
Atem fell right next to Yami. They both looked and the girl and started to glare, but it faltered when they saw her usual happy, carefree blue eyes, now cold and full of rage, pure rage.
"HOW DARE YOU!" she screamed "HOW DARE YOU HURT YUGI! WHO GAVE YOU THAT RIGHT! A strange glow started to surround her, but everybody was to scared to notice.
Just then Anzu and Tea showed up.
"Hey! Don't hurt them!" Tea said angrily. Big mistake. Lily turned her glare to the whores and jabbed her finger at them.
"YOU!" she began to stalk over to them. "HOW DARE YOU EVEN COME OVER HERE AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO YUGI!"
At this point, Yami and Atem were back on their feet. Atem, the idiot, snorted and said "What did they do? All they did was expose Yugi for what he really is."
The next thing anybody knew was that Lily had a knife to Atem's throat. Her eyes now glowing a bright blue. She then hissed "YOU KNOW NOTHING!.."
Rose then rode over on her motorcycle. "Lily, don't they're not worth it." she said trying to calm the raging Guardian.(Not that the gang knew that.)
Lily growled, but took the knife off of Atem's neck. She then walked over to Rose and asked "Is he..?"
Rose shook her head sadly. "We better get over there."
Lily sighed. "I know, Rose. Let's just hope we're not too late."
As Lily started to get on the motorcycle, Atem yelled.
"STOP!"
The girls turned and glared.
"What do you mean by too late?" he questioned.
Lily replied coldly "Why do you care? Aren't thou the reason the young Light is breaking?"
Yami's eyes widened. "W-What d-do you mean?" He was afraid of the answer.
Rose sighed and faced Yami and Atem and the rest.
Her face showed no emotion as she said "Because of your stupidity, Yugi is dying. Because you believed lies over your own Light, the Darkness and Shadows are consuming him, breaking him, tearing his soul apart and smashing what's left of his heart. And nothing we do can stop it.
With that Rose drove away.
Yami and the gang were shocked. Tears fell from both Yami and Atem's eyes as they looked back at the gang's faces. They were full of horror and shock.
Atem choked. "W-What have we done.
Unseen eyes looked upon the scene in sicked satisfaction. The Light would die, and it will cause the spark he needed to escape.
"Soon, young Phoenix, we will meet and you will fall."
