Chapter 1: Serpentor, The Ballerino
"Welcome to Dvorak's Dance Studio. How may I help you?"
Cobra Commander held Serpentor by the wrist as he approached the desk.
"I'd like to sign my boy up for your under-tens ballet classes-"
"Sir, he's quite clearly an adult-"
"It's a long story. Bottom line is, he's under a year old and I don't want him in the same class as a bunch of newborns and toddlers! My boy here doesn't take well to being patronized, and I don't want to lose my dignity."
The receptionist sighed.
"Well, we've got a spot. Miss Dvorak's teaching a class in an hour-"
"Sign him up!"
"Okay. We'll need your name-"
"Adam "Cobra Commander" DeCobray."
"His name-"
"Serpentor DeCobray. We're thinking about changing it soon."
"Your phone number-"
"Sent it to your contacts list."
"Well then, Mister DeCobray. I'd like to welcome your son to Dvorak's. Now, who's going to pick him up?"
Cobra Commander hemmed and hawed.
"I'll do it. I'll have him call me when he's ready to- you know what, son? Here's my cell number."
"But K-"
"Terri, you and Ba Nee have met Danse before. Besides, ballet makes for a well-rounded girl, which makes for a well-rounded young woman. Also, we signed you up two weeks ago, and this is your first session." Kimber itnerrupted.
The two youngest Starlight Girls sighed as Kimber pulled up to the dance studio.
"I'll be back in about an hour or two. Have fun!"
Danse walked into the studio to see her students standing there. For the most part, it was various girls between the ages of five and ten. The sole exception was the adult-sized male with snake eyes and scaly skin.
"Roll call. Christine?"
"Here!"
"Maria?"
"Here!"
"Terri?"
"H-h-here."
"Ba Nee?"
"Here."
"S- who names their kid Serpentor?"
"I am here, Miss Dvorak."
"Sir, you're in the wrong class. Adults' ballet is at 7-"
"I'm well under the age of ten! I was just grown in a vat!"
Danse groaned.
"At this point, I don't care anymore."
