Title: Butterbeer, Kisses, and Freshly Fallen Snow
Challenge: "First Kiss Challenge"
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Summary: Sirius and Remus spend time alone in Hogsmeade. Sirius finds out that Remus still hasn't had his first kiss. Sirius gives him a very memorable first kiss.
Prompts: shadows and freshly fallen snow
"It's pathetic isn't it," Sirius said as he was walking through Hogsmeade with Remus.
"Huh?" Remus says, not having heard a word that Sirius had said. Remus had been staring at Sirius and the way his hair was moving in the slight wind.
"I said, isn't it pathetic how both James and Peter, Peter, both have dates and we don't," Sirius repeated.
"Kind of, but I think it's nice that they both have dates, at least this way we don't have to hear James talk about Lily for hours," Remus stated.
"I still can't believe she agreed to go out with him," Sirius agreed.
"You have no faith in him," Remus teased.
"I do too have faith in him, I just never thought Lily would agree to go out with him. Come on let's get out of the snow and get a Butterbeer," Sirius said while stopping at the door of The Three Broomsticks.
An hour later the boys walked out of The Three Broomsticks both in a better mood. They had been talking about all of Sirius' past girlfriends and all the stupid things he's done before getting dumped or all the stupid things he's done to dump a girl. They were halfway to the Shrieking Shack when Sirius asked, "What about you, Moony?"
"What about me, Padfoot?" Remus asked.
"How many girls have you kissed?" Sirius explains.
"None," Remus replies.
"None, you've never kissed a girl?" Sirius asks. Remus nods. Sirius continues, "What about a boy?"
"Again, none," Remus repeats.
"You've never kissed anyone. How?" Sirius asks.
"The only person that I want to kiss is always unavailable," Remus replies, "Besides they wouldn't be interested in someone like me."
"Why wouldn't someone like you? You're absolutely amazing Remus," Sirius tells him.
"Yeah because a socially awkward, quiet, smart, gay, werewolf is amazing," Remus retorts.
"Of course that's amazing," Sirius responds.
"Yeah, and Voldemort is going to kill himself," Remus scoffs.
"Being a socially awkward, quiet, smart, gay, werewolf is amazing, Rem. And do you know why? (Remus shakes his head) It's amazing because that's what you are," Sirius says before pulling Remus into the shadows near the Shack and kissing him.
Remus froze in shock, and then when he realized what was going on began to kiss Sirius back. The two stood there kissing and didn't realize that it had begun to snow.
Years later Remus stood in Hogsmeade Station getting off the train and could see the outline of the Shack from where he stood. His thoughts immediately drifted towards his first kiss (of many) with Sirius in the shadows of the Shack on that cold winter day in their Seventh year.
"I miss you Pads," Remus said before removing his gaze from the shack and boarding a carriage.
