Strawberries, fireworks, and smoke. That's what she smelled like. That's what Amortentia smells like, to Lysander. Strawberries, fireworks, and smoke. For her fiery attitude, for her temper, for her fire-red hair. The exact way that he imagined when he kissed her in his dreams, when he didn't see her dashing off with Scorpius and staying with him, her best friend. That's how he had imagined it when Lily Luna Potter kissed him on the cheek, even if it was only a friendly kiss. Yet he fawned over her and never let her know how he felt inside. So for now, he'd miss her and evade strawberries, fireworks l, and smoke for the time being.

Lily
His smell was masculine, strong, and very much like cologne. She always hated the smell of cologne, but let it slide for Scorpius. For her Scorpius, for the one who made her move to Ireland, without her family, without her friends. She was feeling awfully lonely without her friends. Especially Lysander, he made her happy when she was sad, calmed her nerves when she was angry or worried. But Scorpius had proposed - and she said yes. No matter what, she couldn't hurt him, but she still couldn't say 'I love you' back to him. Though, she knew why. When she smelled Amortentia, it smelled of chocolate, water, and fresh parchment.

Lysander
He was standing right next to Scorpius, as he went against his own feelings and used all of his power to leave and take Lily with him. The reception was quiet as it had begun and before he knew it, Lily was walking down the aisle, her dad on her side. She looked up and smiled at Lysander before taking her place facing Scorpius.

Lily

"If anyone objects, speak now or forever hold your peace."

The air was cold and still, frozen in time for about 20 seconds. Lysander stepped forward. Half of the guests gasped and the other half either sniggered or smirked. The latter earning glares from the former. "Er . . . Lily? Look, I'm sorry I've never mentioned this, but I . . . I love you. I'm sorry I'm interrupting, your wedding, and it really is your choice to how your future is shaped." With that, he stood back and let the ceremony continue. She was shocked, but beaming all the same.

"Do you, Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, take Lily Luna Potter to be your lawfully wedded wife and swear to love her till death do you part?"

"I do." he said, beaming.

"And do you, Lily Luna Potter, take Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy to be your lawfully wedded husband and swear to love him till death do you part?"

"I-" she stuttered. She hadn't known why until it hit her. She hadn't loved him. She admitted it to herself that she hadn't loved him. Maybe as a friend, but definitely not romantically. A thought struck her like lightning. He hadn't been the one whose smell lingered in Amortentia. It was Lysander's. The smell of chocolate, water and fresh parchment. His chocolate-brown eyes, his calm-as-water attitude, his love for school. It had all led up to that very moment. What to do?

Lysander

"I don't." she said and Scorpius's face dropped. Lily looked even worse. He knew she could never break any of their hearts, but he hadn't been expecting this. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he smelled an aroma of strawberries, fireworks, and smoke wafting towards him.
Lily Luna Potter stood in front of him, eyes twinkling, face gleaming, smile beaming. His heart skipped a beat and he smiled as well, the look she was giving him taking his breath away.

"Ly, I love you too."
