One Last Kiss

Disclaimer: I don not own Bleach nor Kuchiki Byakuya and Hisana.

This is a tribute to ByakuyaxHisana.

Enjoy.

He sat there, gazing at the pink sakura tree that stood in front of my room. It was a peaceful spring afternoon and it was his day off. I slowly sat up, he looked at me and smiled. I smiled at him in return. Kuchiki Byakuya. He still wore his robes showing his nobility and the kenseiken situated on his hair. He held me into a tight embrace. My frail arms embraced him in return. It was these peaceful afternoons that I enjoyed his company. I could see him.

"How are you?" he asked me, suddenly coming back to my senses.

"I'm fine," I smiled at him, his eyebrows knitted together and his soft hand reached to touch my cheek. "You've grown paler…" he muttered. My dark blue eyes skimmed down to the skin of my arms. Indeed, I was paler. "I'm going paler because I'm inside the manor most of the time." I assured him.

He released me from his embrace and spoke, "I will tell Misaki to bring you food to eat." I nodded my head in accordance and he left the room to change. It has been two years since I had married the head of the Kuchiki clan and yet I still couldn't find her. 'Rukia…'

I walked through the walls, trying to exercise my legs. Yet my body gave up on me and I fell to the floor without a second thought.

Rukia.

The name that has haunte me ever since I left Rokungai. Just as I laid there on the cold wooden floor, I looked up to see a surprised Byakuya. He quickly scooped me up and rushed me to my room. He set me down on the futon and pulled the blanket over me. He held my hand. "Byakuya-sama." He held my hand tighter, "These past five years have been so happy to me."

"Don't talk anymore. It's not good for you." He spoke.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't able to give you back the love you gave me." I murmured.

"Hisana." He breathe my name out.

I smiled, "Thank you very much, Byakuya-sama." I thanked him and the darkness slowly took over me. "Byakuya-sama…"

The darkness finally numbed my body but before I let go, I felt hot tears on my skin and warm lips pressed on the skin of my forehead. And with that, I let the light guide me out of the darkness.

That was his last kiss.

His one last kiss for me.

Byakuya-sama…
