AN: I own nothing

A Sacrifice

A dying star,

A mourning light,

Shadows cross,

In the dark night.

What has been searched for,

Now is found.

What should have been buried

'neath the mound.

Dark is crawling;

Hope is lost.

It can be ended,

At a cost.

Each one of them

Must pay a price,

To prove their worth,

A sacrifice.

The light of innocence

And purity,

In battle's fire,

It twas ripped from three.

A life is lost;

A spirit taken.

To breathe the last,

He will not awaken.

Change must come,

And old must go,

This is what

All wisdom knows.

The freedom to be anything,

Is nothing more than a dream.

Duty calls,

No matter how harsh it seems.

Contentness,

Was not allowed to stay.

The longing now

Haunts his way.

What was seen

Now has changed,

Confusion,

Of a world rearranged.

A darkness now

upon the last,

what once was,

the end comes fast.

The dying star

Has life once more.

Day has come,

But Fate still has many things in store.
