WARNING – THIS IS SLASH! MEANING THERE ARE TWO MEN TOGETHER! You have been warned. ;)

A/N – Well, guys. This is the first ever Maz story! Yay!

Bulletproof readers – I am using a couple things from Bulletproof to base this on, but it a completely different storyline. Events from Bulletproof NEVER happened…It's your dream come true:lol:

And for anyone reading this that isn't reading "Bulletproof," Flora is an original character—Mason's older sister. And Sarah, Sean, and Gabby are original characters from Chaz's family—mother, twin brother, and little sister respectively.

One – According to Plan

Mason adjusted his tie, looking in the mirror. He was minutes away from the biggest moment of his life.

"Mase?" Flora's voice was soft from the doorway and he barely even realized she was standing there. "You okay?"

He nodded, turning around and enveloping his sister in a tight hug. "How are you?"

She gave him a look, pulling out a pack of tissues from her clutch. "Does this answer your question?" He chuckled. "What did you expect? My baby brother is getting married!"

"It's not a big deal," he muttered, glancing at the ceiling.

"Of course it is!" she squealed, quieting her giggles with the back of her hand.

Mason gave her a quick look before running a hand through his hair for the hundredth time in the last hour. "I still can't believe he wouldn't let me wear my cowboy hat…"

Flora hit her brother on the arm. "Come on! Do you blame him?"

"Hey, if it wasn't for that hat, we would never have met," he reminded her, smirking.

She raised an eyebrow at him. "You don't know that."

"Yes, I do," he said dignified, smoothing out the silky fabric of his tux and muttering, "Would've looked better anyway…"

"Come on. The ceremony starts in two minutes, and Chaz is probably nervous as hell waiting for you outside."

"You're right," he admitted, checking his appearance one last time before facing his sister. "He gets so nervous. It's been stressing me out."

"Shut up. You love him." Flora herded her brother out the door and into the hall.

Mason looked around anxiously, searching for his fiancé. But he was nowhere to be found. The entire hall was empty, except for him and his sister. "Where's Chaz?"

Flora shrugged, herding him toward the double doors that led into the sanctuary. "Maybe he got impatient waiting for you and went in."

Mason planted his feet, refusing to go any further. Not without Chaz. "No. We agreed to meet out here and walk in together up the aisle."

"Well, you are running late," she reminded him, pushing him toward the doors.

"A man cannot be late to his own wedding," Mason argued.

Flora gave him a look, opening the doors and urging him inside. "Trust me, he can."

The entire congregation turned in their seats, watching Mason stumble through the doors. His wide eyes searched the church, frantically looking for Chaz. "Where is he?" he whispered, a million thoughts racing through his mind.

Hushed whispers filled the room as Mason's eyes continued their repeating loop around the church. But it was useless. Chaz was nowhere to be found.

Flora stood behind her brother, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Maybe…maybe he's late…"

A/N – heh. It wouldn't be a JQ fic without a little drama, no? Leave me some feedback! I know it's short, but it sets up the rest of the fic. You forgive me, right?
