It all began with a phone call.
"Hello, Tendo residence."
"Yes, she is, who may I say is calling?"
"I will get her for you."
"Auntie Nodoka, a woman called Haruka is on the phone for you."
"Thank you, Kasumi dear."
"Hello Haruka, how may I help you?"
"He has? I see. I thought we had a few more years."
"Oh. That is a problem."
"Yes, of course. I will bring my son with me."
"End of the week. Very well, we will see you then."
Or perhaps it started with a more panicked call not long before.
"Ha-Haruka. It's Naru. Kei-Keitaro has, has..."
"He... We were – ah – studying, and suddenly he grabbed his head and started screaming and then... then..."
"You do... how?"
"I see. Okay. What should we do?"
"Nodoka Saotome. Alright."
"Th-thank you, Haruka."
