I don't own A Christmas Carol or Degrassi! Here we go!
A Christmas Carol, Degrassi Style
There was no doubt that Adam Torres was dead. He was as dead as a doornail. The register of his burial was even signed by Eli Goldsworthy himself. Eli was Adam's administrator, co-worker, executor, mourner, but best of all, friend.
They worked together for many years. Remember, Adam is dead. He is as dead as death himself. If you do not understand this, nothing truly wonderful can come out of this story. Mind! Eli never even painted out old Adams name. So there it stood. The sign clearly read Eli and Adam. Sometimes people would call Eli Eli and sometimes they would call him Adam. It was all the same to him. He didn't care the least. All he cared about was money.
Money didn't have an opinion.
Money didn't talk.
Money could never leave him.
He was a tightfisted, bitter, old man. He was a sinner. It wasn't like anyone could love him anyway! At least love him as he is now. No one even would ask how he was doing on the streets. But of course, he didn't care; he liked it when no one was talking to him.
