Can I just say that I want reviews? Good. Let's go, then.

No, I don't write the actual books. But I own three Bibles. XD

I am just outside of the pearly gates, watching the nations of the world in their dismay. Perhaps it is not the best thing for me to do, but the King has not outlawed such things. It's not as if I don't fly down to the world from time to time - I have jobs to do there. Those missions (pardon my word usage) have taught me that the human race is vile, and at times simply heartless.

Still, the humans of their native world fascinate me regardless of their cruelty. I cringed as I watched some of their acts, not bothering to hide my disgust from the others standing at the Gates. Not that they didn't stand and see the things that happened. Gabriel in particular spent the majority of his time stationed at the Gates, waiting for the King to give him a command. He knew the race better than even I. He knew why I watched them, and sometimes sat with me to observe particular nations.

"Look over there, Elioenai. Do you see their eyes opening to the fact that all races and genders are equal? The end draws near."

"Yes, but they lie to win power over the nation. Even the most wonderful actions of theirs are filled with sin. Why does the King love them so?"

"Our Lord? Who knows the workings of His mind? Perhaps you should ask Him. I shall await your return, brother."

"Will He answer such a lowly child as me?"

"He aswers them every second of every day," he told me. "Why would He not treat you as well as they? 'Ask, and you shall receive'"

I went to the King after he responded. How nervous I was. Why should I have the right to question Him, even if I was curious? "My King, I must ask something of You. You see-"

"You've been watching the world, and wonder how I could love such a race as the humans," He said immediately.

"Y-yes, I certainly have..."

"I shall explain, of course, even if you do not understand. They are My children, who I made in My own image to fulfill My purposes and to glorify Me. Each one is created differently, the way I want them to be. I gave My Son so that they would be returned to Me even after the evil one had led them astray. Their actions, good and evil, hold My interest."

"I see."

"You do not understand this because you do not have My mind. But I payed the highest price for them because I so loved them. And some of them still love Me. Perhaps if you talk to one of the humans here or the highest angels, you will see it. Do remember, all humans are oblivious to the evil within them."

I nodded, bowed, and turned away. Gabriel was at the Gates, talking to Michael about some humans they must have been watching.

"Isn't that wonderful, that they'retalking about Jesus?"

"He more than earned their interest..."

"He answered my question," I informed them.

"Oh, excellent! Did you understand what He told you?"

"Not at all."

Both of my brothers smiled. They were some of the highest angels, and even they must have been confused at times.

A small voice said to me then, "You heard them say that a family was talking about Jesus. An old aunt that cannot clean her own house, and a great-niece that is helping her to bring glory to Me, and to learn a lesson on helping people out of the heart. They are connecting by talking about Me and what I have done for them. This is the best thing I could see. My love brings them together and puts joy in their hearts, and that brings Me joy. That is why I love them."

I understood.
