'Betrayal' based angst poem. Man, a lot of stories, songfics, and poems seem to be popping up for that episode. Well, I'm gonna add mine to the mix. It's from Beastboy's POV.

Led on by your deceitful gaze.
You left my mind in a daze.

Lying to me and my friends.
Intentions hidden to the very end.

But I see now, I see your lie.
Though I still don't see the reason why.

Why you dragged me through this deadly dance.
While your new master took his chance.

Sending his minions to kill my comrades.
All the while you knew you had...

Given him everything he needs.
To accomplish his dirty deeds.

And then you had the gall to say.
You didn't realize his intent to slay.

I can't even laugh at such an excuse.
Your seeming friendship, all a ruse.

Though my friends did win.
Your betrayal was a blatant sin.

My promise was like a fragile rose.
Broken by the fate you chose.
