Sir Cadogan's Advice to Harry
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Seventh floor hallway, right hand side...
"Who goes there?"
Harry looked around bewildered, "Are you speaking to me?" he asked the portrait of Sir Cadogan.
"Indeed, young Mr. Potter, I am." replied the portrait.
"I'm trying to find the Room of Requirement, sir knight." stated Harry.
"And why would you be looking for it?" asked the knight.
"I'm trying to teach my school-mates how to defend themselves. Voldemort is back and they need to be prepared."
"A worthy goal, to be sure. It is quite refreshing to see someone willing to help their class-mates, most especially to do so without selfishness." stated the knight.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. The room you seek is opposite the next tapestry down the hall. You know how to enter?" the portrait questioned.
"Yes, sir."
"Then I bid you good luck and good bye, young Mr. Potter."
Harry thought on the portraits' words many times before the final battle. He was scared of what he would have to do sometimes, but it never stopped him from doing what was right for his friends.
