Author's Notes: This took me roughly 30 mintues to write, which is a new record, since I have a tendancy to take forever and a day to finish a three paragraph vignette. *g*

When you touch me, I don't think. All I am able to do is feel. When you kiss me, I melt into your arms...such strong arms. I am safe here, loved.
You whisper something to me. Three words. Your voice is smooth as silk, yet rough as sandpaper. I reply, just as meaningfully. I lay my head upon your chest and wrap my arm around your waist, smiling. Your long legs tangle with my shorter ones. We fit so well together.
Our breathing has synchronized, as if dictated by a greater power. I listen to your heart beating strongly in your chest. Is mine beating just as steadily? I want to freeze this precious moment in time, bottle it and keep it for all eternity.
You press your lips to the crown of my head. My eyes slip closed and I wonder, Is this what it feels like to be truly alive? I look up into your eyes, searching for the answer. Smiling, I snuggle closer into your embrace. Yes, this is what it feels like to be alive.
