"Enjolras, you can't wear a plaid shirt with striped shorts." Eponine chastised. Enjolras rolled his eyes as he buttoned up his shirt

"Does it really matter?" Enjolras asked, giving her his seldom but famous lopsided grin.

"Kinda, it just doesn't look right together. Especially since we are going to a country club which is notorious for snobbish, old. white people." Epoine responded.

"But will it really matter later on?" Enjolras asked.

"What do you mean by that?" she asked, running a brush through her hair as she checked her appearance in the mirror. He shrugged.

"It's just that, me wearing something that doesn't match one time isn't a big deal. There are so many more incomprehensible things in our life, one lousy outfit won't affect us in the long run." Enjolras explained.

"In the long run, huh?" Eponine chuckled, a smirk plastered on her face. "What do you mean by that?"

"Well…" He began, biting his lip. "Think of it in the terms of a Jenga tower. When you take that first piece off it doesn't tumble down, now does it?" Enjolras babbled.

"Unless you are Bossuet and really bad at all games…" Eponine joked. He smiled light-heartedly.

"True, but I am talking about us. This outfit is that Jenga piece." Enjolras said, trying to get them back on topic.

"But why Jenga? I was never a big fan of it." Eponine told him, carefully applying mascara in front of the mirror.

"Fine, think of it in terms of… Science?" Enjolras tried explaining again. Eponine turned towards him, raising an eyebrow in a questioning manner.

"Yeah. Like the big bang! The concept is that the universe is constantly expanding, all because of a 'big bang', Right?" Enjolras stated. She nodded along, putting her earings in.

"Well compared to all of space, and all the expansion to come, think of this bad outfit as a tiny little star." Enjolras continued.

"I can't believe you are trying to get philosophical on me so you can wear that ugly outfit." Eponine interrupted him.

"Well its okay, cause it all leads to the bigger picture. We are gonna compare the Big Bang to our relationship." Enjolras said.

"Oh dear god." Eponine groaned.

"The Big Bang was when we were both the first to show up to The Musain a few months after Cosette and Marius started dating and we had our first real conversation. Cause in my mind, that is what started our relationship, a.k.a the universe. Our relationship is constantly expanding, there will be important things happening here and there but will some silly star even matter?" Enjolras spoke.

"Oh really?" Eponine asked, with a sly grin.

"Really." Enjolras responded.

"So, what's bigger than some crummy star?" she asked. He laughed lightly, got on one knee, and pulled out a small box that held a ring.

"I am kinda hoping this will be." He told her. Eponine gasped, looking down at him and trying to figure out if it is some joke.

"So, will you marry me?" Enjolras asked. Eponine looked over him once more, and with a grin she said,

"Not in that outfit. Change into something nice and we can talk."
