AN: This is a short story that I came up with. Marceline wants to try another instrument. Enjoy!

Marceline sat on her couch (Or floated above, actually.) feeling bored. She heard a rumbling and realized it was her stomach. Marceline floated to her refrigerator and opened it. Two strawberries, an apple, a couple of pink crayons and a red rose. She decided on the apple.

After sucking the sweet red life out of it, she looked around her house for something to do. I could spy on Ice King who's probably reading F&C fanfics to imprisoned princesses, Marceline thought. But she didn't feel like it. She spotted her axe bass guitar. She grabbed it and strummed mindlessly, singing any word that pops into her head into a song.

I am so bored, there's nothin' to do

I feel as bored as... a piece poooooo

Marceline laughed to herself. She stopped strumming and just thought for a minute. She looked at her guitar. She always wondered about other instruments. She always wondered about how they worked or what some instruments are like. She wanted to try a different instrument for a change. So, she flew out of her house carrying her umbrella over her head and floated to Wizard Bill's Music Shop.

When Marceline got to the shop, she saw Finn and Jake there. "Hey, Finn. Sup Jake?" She said. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Jake is getting a new string for his viola and I'm just checking out instruments," Finn said. "What are you doing here?"

"Just... looking at other instruments for a change." Marceline floated around and observed the instruments. Saxophones, trumpets, drums, violins, harps, cymbols, maracas, trumbones, flutes. None of them really intrested her. Until one instrument caught her eye. She didn't know what it was, but it was long and black and had a billion silver keys. It had a horn similar to a trumpets and tuners at the top that looked like guitar tuners. Ingraved at the top said: Advantage. Established in 1877. Marceline picked it up.

"Hey, Bill!" Marceline called to the person at the front desk.

"What's up, Marse?" Wizard Bill said while he walked to where she was standing.

"What's this instrument called?" she asked.

"This-" he picked it up. "-is a clarinet."

"Can I play it?" Marceline asked. "Will you show me how?"

Wizard Bill told her to take a reed (a small slip of wood) and suck on it. After she did, she attached it to the clarinet using her ligature (which was the thingy with the tuners on it). Bill directed her left hand thumb under a piece of metal attached to the instrument that helped her hold up the clarinet. Then she put her right hand above her left and held the top of it.

"Make sure your hands aren't covering the keys," Bill said. "Now roll your bottom lip under." He demonstrated and Marceline followed. Bill showed her how to blow into the instrument. Marceline took a deep breath, put her mouth on the mouth piece and blew.

BLAAAAAAAT!

The sound the clarinet made was so high pitched and squeaky and loud, everybody in the shop held their ears.

Bill chuckled. "How bout trying it again, but a little bit slower?" She followed Bill's advice and tried again. She took another deep breath and blew.

sssssssqqqqqqqqqEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Everybody held their ears. "Hey, Marcy?" Finn called. Marceline looked toward Finn's direction. "I think you'd be better sticking with guitar." he joked.

Marceline laughed. "Yeah, okay."
