Sometimes, Gibbs hates Jenny.
He hates that she's right. He hates that he can't say no to her, and if he does, he feels guilty as hell. Something he thought he'd gotten over after Diane.
He hates how well she knows him; can predict his move before he's even thought of it. Whatever happened to the element of surprise?
Which is exactly what Jethro is thinking one lazy Wednesday afternoon as he kisses his way down her body. He knows what she thinks he's going to do, so he changes his mind.
And stops.
It takes a few seconds for Jenny's mind to catch up with the rest of her and she squirms under his hands.
"What's wrong?" He shrugs, working his way back up her body, kissing her neck and her lips. She pulls away, frowning. "You stopped."
Jethro can't decide what to say. Suddenly, this has become a game of the many ways he can try to surprise her...
"I love you." He smiles, kissing her again. This time, he realises that even though she did already know that, he wanted to say it again. And again. Just to make sure.

Jenny Shepard loved Jethro more than she could even understand.
Leaving him that letter definitely counted as one of the biggest mistakes of her life.
She woke to him kissing his way down her stomach, hand firm against her. He always knew just how to touch her.
"Jethro." She breathed as his breath tickled her, her hips rising off the bed on reflex. He pushed her down, smiling into her skin.
"Don't move." He ordered, his tongue enough to make her moan.
"I'm not." She assured him, biting down on her bottom lip.
She loved how well he knew her. She loved how he knew just how to make her beg for more.
She loved how much he loved her.
What more could a person want?
