Simplicity
Simple things are better. Quiet moments at midnight during stake-outs. How simple.
"Is he ever going to come out?" The broad man asks his smaller companion.
There isn't an answer. She just sits quietly, staring in case in discussion either of them miss him. In return for this silence her comrade gets more stress. A frown in reply.
"More importantly are you ever going to say anything?" He pursues.
More silence
"Sush you idiot, we've got to make sure we get him if he leaves." She grumbles in reply and sinks her smaller body further down.
"Alright." He frowns once more.
Only silence right now, only silence in simple things right now.
"Mikage?" He begins.
"Yes Ushio?" She asks him in turn, a lot of questions today.
"Do you want to go someplace after this?"
"No."
"Oh."
"Sunday's alright though, for breakfast."
The lights in his eyes sparkle up. And the person they're trailing after bursts from the building in a haze and is summarily pursued by the duo.
Yes sometimes simple love stories are the best. No, they usually are.
