Chapter 1
Long, Long ago, four gems were stumbled upon down deep beneath the planet. A ruby, saphire, emerald, and a diamond. They were all shiny and grand, so the miners humbly delivered the four gems to the king. The king ruled the city of Andavale, for which the two miners lived in. The king was very pleased when he saw the four gems, so he requested a glass showcase for them in his grand castle. His builders quickly got to work building the showcase. But what nobody knew, is that the gems were posessing mass amounts of dark magic. During the night, the wizard that lived on top of the closest hill to Andavale, Stole the four gems for his own use. He Used them for his magical staff he was constructing. With the power and magic of these four gems, together, a single person can turn the whole realm into chaos. So, Him and his sick mind set out to do just that. To control the land and to rule everyone in it. He started with Andavale. Casting mass fireballs and burning down the whole kingdom. he could not be stopped. Andavale fell, along with the king. To this day, it is all but ruins. The wizard moved from kingdom to town, destroying everything that came in his path. Word got around to the realm, and soon enough, everyone had heard about the wizard. everyone simply called him "The Dark One." But one day someone stepped up. Another wizard. A light wizard. Using all his magical abilties that he had, he took down the Dark One, but soon after died from the extraordinary amount of magic he had preformed. the realm was safe from the Dark One now. They had nothing to fear. The realm slowly started to regain it's former glory. They felt safe. Until signs of the Dark One started appearing again. His mark, a purple oval with two slashes through it, started appearing on random tavern doors, people's houses, and even on the side of grand castles. People started believing that he was coming back some how, and that is where we meet our adventurer.
