Common Ground

When Azula a suprise attack strikes at night destroying the temple Toph and Zuko are stuck inside. With no visible way out to two take to exploring there reach, and eachother. Slight Toko, and mentions of Kataang and Sukka. Our first team fic!

This is the prolouge. We're not exactly sure how many chapters this is going to be or when we are going to post next. This is our first fic as a team so please leave comments and critisism.

Prologue

Normally Zuko cursed at the fact he sucked at being social. He could barely stand to be with the gaang for a few seconds before either doing something stupid or wanting to pull his hair out. So as always he stayed away at night. He was never the best sleeper so like any other nigh he sat by the fountain and did nothing. That one night though, it was the best thing that could happen for him. He saw the air ships as they arrived. He saw them unload the bombs as he ran back to the temple. Finally the stealth he used as the blue spirit paid off. He arrived within less then a moments of warning. By the time everyone was awake the first bomb was off and part of the temple shattered. From there on out bombs went off like crazy, blocking every exit. There was nothing left to do. Nowhere left to go. Only duck and try not to get killed. But hey what else did they ever do.

Zuko pulled into a spot just as he saw a pillar fall by Toph. He pushed her out of the way.

"What's going on? I can't see anything. The pillars aren't earth!" she complained. There was a fear in her voice that Zuko, or probably anyone had never seen before.

"Everything gonna be alright. I think its almost over" Zuko assured. Right then another piece of the ceiling fell nearly crushing the two once again.

"Where are the others?" Toph asked.

Zuko shot quick glances around before answering. "I don't see anyone. Maybe they got out." another bomb left them trapped in a small area. Nothing made of earth. Nothing to burn. The bombs finally stopped. But as for getting out. This was only the beginning.
