Chapter 1

It all started just before the final battle. A young girl fell through a well in Japan. Only this well wasn't in the Higurashi Shrine, nor was the young girl afore mentioned Kagome Higurashi. This young girl was Lyra Taishio, heiress to the Taishio Corporation. How did she fall into the well, you ask? She was exploring in one of the family's vacation homes in Okinawa. She came across a room that appeared to be held shut by a deteriorating sutra seal. Curiosity got the better of her and she opened up the room easily tearing the old seal to pieces. The room looked normal with not a thing deeming it worthy of having been sealed. It was until she stood in the middle of the room and the floor broke out from under her that she saw why it was locked. She fell into a well beneath the floor boards and was engulfed in a deep blue light. As soon as Lyra was engulfed into the light, it changed color. It turned into a blackish-purplish kind of light. Most would think that would make Lyra evil, however that was not the case. The light had a kind of purity to it, originating from close to her heart. She dwelled in the light's dark radiance for about ten minutes when suddenly she found herself at the bottom of the well again. After taking in what had just happened to her, Lyra jumped out of the well and in a single bound landed a foot away from the well in a predator's pounce position. She stood and took in the scenery and set off to try to find someone to tell her where she was completely forgetting being dressed in what appeared a dark priestess kimono to those who did not know her. Around her neck was a choker necklace where a gem could be placed but none was seen. No the gem in question was in a small tiny bag next to her heart in a small pocket sewn into the kimono. Feeling weird without them gem properly placed, Lyra took advantage of the fact that she was still in the forest and pressed the gem into its proper place. The choker used to carry the gem was special as was the tiny bag used before. The choker could never be removed by anyone other than her and it had to be willingly. The gem could not be touched by anyone other than herself and the tiny bag made the gem invisible to sight and sense. But still she was highly protected as she was one of what was known as the Guardians. Each Gaurdian contained a gem, crystal, or special stone they protected. If any one of these items and its gaurdian were lost to the world, the whole balance of the world could be dangerously tipped. If all the items and gaurdians were lost, the one weilding them could bring about Armageddon. It was why her family was so protective of her and even home schooled her. She had never attended a school in her life but on her 15th birthday that would change or so she had been promised. Lyra kept on walking past the woods until she came to what looked like a small village. Everything her looked as if from the Feudal Era and then after about ten seconds, it hit her. That was why the room had been sealed. The well she had fallen into had sent her to the past and she had no way of getting back.
