¤¤Half Demons¤¤

Oneshot #7

Sesshomaru walked ever so peacefully as usual. Nothing seemed to get in his way; nothing was around except for grass, and he was glad at this. He had been away for a total of three days, each going by sleepless. He was unaffected, but his mind had been so busy lately, and he just had to get away. He knew that a topic would reach the air someday in his human companion situation, and it finally had… so many years later.

He wasn't sure how to approach it, and Inuyasha was absolutely the last person on the face of the earth that he wanted to know this information, but he could picture that smirk on his brother's face a mile away.

Half demons.

He shook his head and continued on his way. He had promised Jaken that he would be back at his castle by sunset, and it was midday. He had a long way to go still. But that didn't mean he couldn't think about half demons, so that's what he did.

Half demons are a mixture of demon but posses a human heart. Sesshomaru found it comical that a demon and human could even cross paths, but he knew he would be proven wrong by all demons by the woman that was still with him to this day. She hadn't left his side at all in the past, nor had she in the present. He would be nothing without her; he just had to confess it.

Another word for a half demon is a hanyou. The demon always thought of hanyou's as nothing but a disgrace to the world… that they should vanish and disappear into a black hole and die alone. But his mind has opened in all the years of being around Rin.

Not that he would ever let anyone see, but a light smile came over him as he quickened his pace. It had been about seventeen years since she was young, making her twenty-seven now.

Most importantly, were a demon and human never meant to be together? How would the two different species evolve in the future? Would their possibly be half demons all around the world? But the most important thing of all… was the fact that he was mated to a human woman.

'Of course they are,' he said to himself while looking down at the small form snuggled in his arm. It was a girl, and perched at the sides of her head were triangular white ears, one of them having a gray tip. His arm tightened around the three year-old girl as he held her close to him, her big almond eyes opening and filled with tiredness.

'Asami wouldn't be here.'

She wasn't a hanyou;

She was a mixture of him and Rin.

Just like everyone else.

I write oneshots when I get major jetlags, and I thought that Sesshomaru needed one just to himself. Please let me know what you think, and listen to a little music while you're at it. I find that listening to music and writing a review makes the review LESS harsh! Hehe! Anywho, let me know what ya think with a review or a PM!
