Silently, she watched Emily walk into her room. As the door clicked shut,
and the last sliver of yellow light disappeared from the dark hall, she
began to stir.
She flashed her bright green eyes, and began to take a step.
Suddenly, the door to the bedroom swung open, creating a light breeze and flooding the hall with light.
Claudia stiffened, her red curls becoming still before Emily could cast her glance at her. Looking upon Claudia, Emily shuddered. "be good Claudia…no eating anyone"
Claudia's eyes stared forward, unblinking.
She silently watched Emily walk to the kitchen, and pad back with a glass of water in her hand. Claudia sensed her tense and hurry past her. The door closed.
Waiting five minutes, Claudia slowly climbed off the table, and drifted too quietly into the living room.
The small, vampire-doll settled onto the floor, and clicked on the TV. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" caused shadows to move and shift across her porcelain features.
She giggled lightly, and a smile crept up her face.
"oh, they came so close to the real truth too…"
*authors note: this is based on a really creepy doll my parents have. She's named after Anne Rice's character, and my theory is she's a little vampire!!
