Arrogance
"...Little musing on the season premiere- a little from each character, even if they werent in the season premiere. R&R?"
Hank was furious. His father was waving that damned check around as if to say 'gotcha now', as if to rub everything that he had done- rather, hadn't done- for Hank and Evan. He could tell it was his arrogant way of giving a sort of peace offering. He wasn't buying it; Evan may have fallen for it, but he refused to. Father or not, he didn't deserve his forgiveness...
Evan knew that Hank was mad at him, but he didn't know how he was going to make it up to him. In the end, their dad had in fact given back the money, but they both knew deep down there was more to it than the father was letting on. He sighed as he sat down his drink, wondering how he was going to fix this...
Divya was confused. She didn't want to go through with the arranged marriage, but she didn't have a choice. Like she told Evan, she had family obligations...But she knew that she would be miserable with her new husband, and she so obviously wanted to stay with Hank and, more-so than the other brother, Evan. She closed her phone, deciding it wasn't worth the headache to think about it...
Tucker Bryant gave his father a nervous smile as they sat down to eat dinner together. He had insisted on making things right between them, something Tucker really hadn't wanted to do. He wanted his father to leave him along- to go on another of of his trips and stop hurting him. But, of course, Tucker sucked up his gut and thew his feelings aside. As long as he was his father's son, there would always be that uncomfortable reminder of what had went on between them...
Marshal Bryant didn't even attempt to smile; he stabbed at his steak, angry, as his son tried to hide his shaky hands. He didn't know why Tucker was so afraid; he had never hut him! It didn't matter to him, though, he concluded. He was going to make his son love him, no matte what it took...
Hank's father gave his oldest son that smirky smile he always did- the one filled the arrogance and that threatening tone that made anyone aware of his bad intentions. He would try to convince his son that he wasn't the villain he made him out to be, but he knew it wouldn't work, at first. He knew that deep down Hank still loved him. All in time, he thought, all in time...
Libby glanced around her room nervously. She knew that Tucker was going to see his father tonight for dinner, which made her nervous. She knew that he had a tendency to drink and take drugs, and she didn't want her boyfriend to be alone as he dealt with him. She sighed, phone in hand, and waited until Tucker called, just like Tucker said he would...
Boris tossed the football at Hank, his way of telling him had had got the job. He trusted Hank, and he knew Hank wasn't like the other doctors he had met. Hank had potential; he actually cared about what happened. He knew that if anyone could figure out what was wrong, it would be Hank. He let his mind drift out as he thought of everything that had happened to the Hamptons in the recent years. Things were going to change, and he knew that those changes wee going to start with Hank...
Starting with his own arrogant home...
"...I know I left out Jill. I didnt feel she was a really important view for the story, sorry. Pleaz R&R! Hope you guys liked it! Oh, and check out my new poll!"
