Lily Luna Potter had scared Lysander ever since he was little. She was five years older than him, a Slytherin to his Hufflepuff, and seemed to carry an air of superiority around that was well-earned, for Lily Potter was not simply the daughter of Harry and Ginny Potter.

She was the first Weasley and Potter Sorted into Slytherin for generations. She was Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team in her first, and Captain by her fourth. She was top in her class for all her years at Hogwarts, Prefect, and Head Girl. She had twelve O.W.L.S. and twelve N.E.W.T.S. To this day, Lysander was still unsure how she managed to do that. She had graduated Hogwarts and immediately got accepted into the Department of Mysteries.

Lily was not simply smart, she was gorgeous, with dark red hair, unique to her family for it was not the black of her brother's nor the bright red of her cousins and dark, indigo blue eyes. Tall and slender, she was amazing.

Lily was charismatic, clever, funny, kind, and smart, but not everybody liked her. Many people would tell you that she was a bitch who had no care or compassion for anyone. She was that sometimes. But Lily never cared about anyone liking her, and everyone, deep down, cared about Lily liking them.

She was everything you could imagine and nothing like you've ever seen before. It was inevitable that as Lysander grew older, his feelings changed from fear to like to love.

But Lily would never know.

Lysander was standing in her apartment in London, watching everyone coo over little Erika Malfoy. Lysander watched his mother give Lily and Scor a blanket with strange symbols on it, explaining that this was a gift from the Leprechauns she had recently been talking with.

Lysander knew that he would one day get over this, but he just wanted that day to be now. He didn't want to smell blackberry lotion and broomstick polish and leather books when he was experimenting with a love potion. He didn't want to have her in his thoughts and dreams. He wanted to be genuinely happy for her and Scor.

He just couldn't be. Not right now.
