Disappointment

"Stop at the next motel," was all Dean could manage in the past hour.

Startled, Sam blinked. Whispering his tired reply, "Yeah, sure." For the last one hundred miles he had been following that white line like a bloodhound on a scent.

A sign reflected in the headlights, "Stacy Motel next right."

"Finally," breathed Dean, bone tired and weary. He loved his car but he needed a shower and a bed.

"Shit," Sam said as he pulled up to the office, "No vacancy." Slumping in the seat he looked at Dean.

"Damn," Dean sighed, dropping his head on the seatback.
