"Do you know how long it's been since I've just sat on the couch on a Saturday afternoon watching cartoons?" Amy said calmly, her smile warm and gentle. It surprised Sheldon, she didn't usually interrupt his complaining, especially with something like this.
"Sounds a little childish." he retorted back, starring at her quizzically through his laptop camera as they Skyped. Her grin looked lazy, her eyes sleepy, and her hair hadn't been combed, nor had she put on proper clothes. Although Sheldon thought this silly, he secretly longed to be able to relax the way she was right then.
"And reading comic books isn't?" her voice caused his eyes to snap back up to hers. He hadn't realized he'd zoned out, staring at a bit of fabric on her shirt.
"Fair point, but why are you doing this? You're an intelligent neurobiologist, and you're watching cartoons…"
Amy looked down in embarrassment before replying. "I lost my remote…"
Sheldon was quiet for a minute, then said in a slow voice "you know, Amy, I miss your company right now, even if you do lose things and waste your Saturdays watching mind numbing television." Moments later a blush seemed to smack him right in the face and back to her shirt he looked distractedly.
"Well I'm not leaving my cartoons." she said happily. Her voice mixed with a quiet giggle and he watched her as she shifted on her couch. The camera wasn't even on her face, rather behind her at this point, but he couldn't bring himself to look away.
"Rats." Sheldon mumbled, then shrugged. "I guess it wouldn't be so bad to watch cartoons with you, as long as it's nothing too bad."
Amy grinned as she straitened the camera back out.
"Alright, I'll see you soon." Sheldon said with his own smile as he logged off Skype.

After an uneventful trip to her apartment, Sheldon was greeted with his girlfriend lying on her stomach in front of her television in the living room. He rolled his eyes at her professionalism, stole a quick glance at her bum, and closed the door behind him.
When she didn't look up at him, Sheldon crouched beside her and saw her eyes mere slits, begging to drop completely. Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler had fallen asleep on her floor while watching cartoons.
Sheldon's knees ached. He stood up quietly and walked to the kitchen to make some tea, his gaze jumping from the tv to his girlfriend. There was such a temptation to just go and turn it off completely, sit in the comfortable silence while he went on his laptop that he brought with him.
He pondered this for a moment, when Amy groggily lifted her head off the floor. She groaned and rolled over before standing up, and Sheldon bit his lip at how attractive his girlfriend looked while she was half asleep.
Amy nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw Sheldon in her kitchen. She wandered over and chatted with him momentarily, and when the commercials switched off and the show started again on the tv, she shrieked happily and all but skipped back into the other room.
Sheldon followed her in a slower fashion, nearly spilling the tea all over himself as he stubbed his toe. As he sat down, he looked at Amy with feigned grumpiness.
"This is all your fault." he said as he leaned into the couch. She simply shrugged.
"What do you want me to do? Hug you? It's not like you hurt yourself." she took a sip from the offered tea. Never before would she pass up an opportunity to hug her sweet baboo, feel his strong arms around her, but every once in a while she loved to tease him about these things.
His response caught her off guard. "Maybe…"
Amy's gaze wandered from the show she was watching as she suppressed a chuckle from it's hilariousness. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Sheldon's tongue dart out to lick his lips, and she gulped.
"And if I don't?" she asked. A loud crashing noise on the tv and Amy's tummy jerked as she laughed quietly.
"No more sleep overs." Sheldon said, his voice rather firm.
Amy thought for a moment and raised one of her eyebrows. She turned to look at him, and said "we don't do that anyway."
Sheldon shook his head. "I know, but I wasn't sure how to bring it up. I needed a place to stay tonight, and I knew you'd like to have a sleep over."
Amy didn't reply to this, but tried to wrap her head around it as she slumped into her couch and sighed gently. The television flickered and sounds filled her ears warmly and welcomingly, and as the Saturday afternoon was winding down, she could see the soft light pour in to the room from her window, and she smiled.
"Amy, are you ignoring me for cartoons?" her boyfriend asked, and she pulled her legs up under her to sit criss cross.
"Maybe…"
"Can I stay here or not?"
"…For a kiss."
Sheldon huffed briefly. "I offered you a hug earlier. " he said. "Is that no longer acceptable? Only kisses from now on?"
"You could give me both." Amy laughed. "I'm just kidding, Sheldon. You can stay here."
He breathed a sigh of relief, but then nervousness appeared on his features once more. "Does this mean that I don't have to kiss you?"
Sighing, Amy shook her head silently and went to go take a sip from her tea, but Sheldon grabbed his hand in hers. She looked up at him with wide eyes and dared not move as he slowly and lazily kissed her, his lips sweet and soft against hers.
In the midst of all the pleasure, Amy felt Sheldon's fingers graze her butt and for a moment he got a little too excited, letting a quiet laugh of disbelief escape her lips. The last time they did anything remotely physically intimate in that direction had been nearly a month ago.
Then, as she became aware of her ongoing cartoons in the background, she quickly pulled away and grabbed his hand, which, coincidentally, had the remote firmly in it.
She smirked as she took it from him and chucked it across the room.
"Drat." Sheldon muttered. He laughed when it hit a button as it crashed to the floor and the channel changed. "I'm not getting that." he stated.
"Looks like we'll just sit and watch… soaps, then." Amy said, knowing full well it would annoy Sheldon more than anything else at this point.
He leapt up in a flash, Amy tripping him, and they spent the next ten minutes laughing and trying to stop each other from getting to the remote.
