Journal entry #24

November 14, 3:08am

Today Leon and I visited the park. Since the weather is turning cold, it was rather desolate and we got to enjoy some time alone among the scenery (it was romantic .) Needless to say today was a happy day. Leon even bought me one of those chocolate stuffed pastries I like so much and he even licked a bit off my chin though it was kind of embarrassing in public, but still…it was fun. Later we went to a small carnival that was in town and Leon moped around (funny to watch him do that by the way) though I dragged him to all the little carnival game places and that was fun too. He won me a stuffed giraffe and I won him a pink hippo but he made me carry it. Oh well, he's keeping it next to him on the night table anyway (I know he loves it.)

He's turning around in bed now, unaware of this journal. Even though we're both somewhat quiet in public, we have these little things we do, like brush our teeth always at the same time and kiss each other goodnight, and keep together when we sleep. It's nice to have those things. Well, I was going somewhere with him sleeping…oh yeah, even though you could never tell in public, Leon sleeps like a little baby, he looks so cute, maybe one day I should take a picture of him and tape it on his night table before he wakes up (that'd be fun to watch.) Well, I'm going to go now; we both have to work tomorrow.

"Cloud….Cloud wake up already!"

The blonde turned around and groggily splayed an arm across his eyes.

"Mmm, Leon, it's too early.."

"Early? ….Cloud, it's 11…"

" 11? 11!"

The ball that was Cloud suddenly got up and looked at Leon in alarm.

"We'll be late for work!"

"Cloud…"

"What are you doing Leon! Don't just sit there, hurry up!"

The brunette looked at the window, then back at the frenetic Cloud and couldn't stifle a small laugh.

"Leon! Why are you laughing? We're going to be late…"

"Oh Cloud."

Leon got up from the bed, took a look at the rumpled sheets, and looked into Cloud's eyes.

"Cloud, Cloud, Cloud…"

He shook his head and smiled. Cloud just stared back at him through the bathroom mirror like he had suddenly been replaced by aliens and became serious.

"Leon?"

The man whose name had been called looked at the caller and smiled again, this time reaching for the blonde's left shoulder. He pressed himself against Cloud's back and gave him a gentle kiss on the base of his neck.

"So Cloud…we're going to work?"

Cloud stuttered a bit and quickly recovered.

"Um…yeah?"

"Cloud look outside."

The blonde walked over to the small bathroom window and opened it to see everything covered in snow. His serious face, swayed by the kiss, turned bright and he rushed over to Leon's side only to give him a hug.

"So you know what this means?"

Leon stared back silently and Cloud laughed.

"…..Sleds!"

Leon visibly twitched and responded with a strangled, "what?" Cloud was pleased, he repeated the word and looked at Leon's reaction.

"But Cloud….I was thinking we could, oh I don't know, grab some candles and some chocolate and get into the Jacuzzi? Or is that not a good idea?"

He turned his back to Cloud and smiled at the bedroom window. The blonde made a small gasping sound and walked slowly over to Leon.

"Leon…"

"Hmm?"

Cloud smiled, wrapped his arms around Leon's torso, and gave his earlobe a small nip. Suddenly he straightened up and smiled a visibly wider and brighter smile.

"That sounds like a great idea! I'll get the chocolate."

Leon took a time to process Cloud's sudden act and thought to himself: I've got him!

"But Cloud, shouldn't we brush our hair and teeth and…eat breakfast?"

From the kitchen Cloud said: "Breakfast is for the weak!" And at this Leon laughed and shrugged. So the hot water and candles it was.
