Seperation

Prologue

Rain falls in sheets. It has not stopped falling for weeks, not since that day—the day when lives were turned upside down.

The district of Nerima, home to spectacular fights and wild romance, is now a mere shadow of its former self.

On the streets below, one person is running home, anxious to escape from the never-ending rain. One person runs on streets that once saw battles and crowds numbering in the dozens on a daily basis.

A bell rings in the distance. A crowd of students and teachers shuffle out of a school, their energy all but gone. Amongst them, a girl with short blue hair looks towards the sky.

A tear slips down her face and is instantly washed away in the rain. An older, brown haired girl, perhaps her sister, walks up behind her.

Eventually, the two girls shuffle away from the school with the rest of the students.

As the few remaining students vanish into the gray town of Nerima, a figure fades into existence by the entrance of the school.

Her cold blue eyes stare in the direction the two girls had walked away in.

She flicks a strand of red hair out of her face, her gaze never wavering. She continues to look into the distance, then finally nods sharply and spins on her heel. The figure walks away in the opposite direction, never once making a sound.

As she moves away, a sign she was standing in front of becomes visible. Furinkan High School is now as dead as the rest of the town.

The rain continues to fall, casting an endless dreary gloom across the once vibrant town. The streets below are now empty.

And this is where our tale begins.

Author's Notes: No clue why I wrote this... it's way too short... Listening to gloomy music does make people think of strange things, I guess.

I don't know if I'll continue this, as I have absolutely no idea where this will go. I'm more worried about writing Rollback and 'Till the End right now. For those of you who are curious, both stories are SM crossovers, though I'm not sure just how much of a crossover they'll be.

This story has nothing to do with any series except Ranma ½, but, like I said, I don't know if I'll continue it. Heck, even that opening is short, maybe even shorter than this A/N…
